
Steps to follow to obtain land excision in Lagos state
1 Submission of application letter with attached documents.
Attached documents include
I Application letter by the intending villagers/settlers or community on letter head, addressed to the Permanent Secretary, Lands Bureau.
II Sunprint perimeter survey plan of the land requested for excision.
III Brief profile/history of the village/settlement/containing:
A The name of the Oba/ Baale or Community Head B Population C Occupation of inhabitants/settlers
IV Location Sketch of the community/village/settlement and size of previous excision (if any)
2 Compilation of requests.
3 Survey Plan charting (Surveyor-General).
4 Confirmation against government commitment (if any) by New Towns Development Authority (NTDA).
5 Joint site inspection: Excision Committee/ Stakeholders / Community Representatives.
6 Report preparation / recommendation for Governor’s approval.
7 Perimeter survey plan preparation / survey description (Surveyor General).
8 Layout plan preparation and submission (villagers/settlers).
9 Consideration and approval of layout plans (Ministry of Physical Planning & Urban Development (MPP & UD).
